Welcome.

Welcome to our website.  We hope it gives you a flavour of the aspirations we have for our children and the pride we have in our school community. We work in a principled way based on what evidence tells us gets children off to the best possible start.

We place a high value on relationships between children, staff and families. We aim to enable children to be the very best version of themselves so believe partnership with families is vital. Of course to achieve this we recruit high quality staff with broad specialist qualifications.

Our school is a larger than average infant school, located near the University of East Anglia and in the middle of the dynamic West Earlham community, situated approximately 2.5 miles from the centre of the historic city of Norwich. We have a purpose built nursery which has the capacity for over 100 of our youngest learners. We have educational provision for 2 year olds – 7 year olds

We place very strong emphasis on providing a nurturing and inclusive environment which is welcoming to all and that encourages children to enjoy their learning. However the governors and staff are aspirational for the children so that they acquire the vital skills and attitudes that enable them to thrive and flourish at school and in the future. We are delighted our approach has been validated by OFSTED as Outstanding in all areas.

We pride ourselves on being a genuinely welcoming school, so if you want to find out more, don't just take our word for it. Please do come and visit us.

We had our first Mystery Reader in school today. Tom (who also does an amazing job with our school grounds and stunning outdoor areas) came in to read. He shared a story inspired by Ernest Shackleton, a role model of a leader who, in extreme circumstances, kept his team together in a incredible survival story. ... Read MoreRead Less

Thanks for families for joining year1 for boards games this morning. Did you get any ideas for any that you might play this weekend?
Did you know that board games are a great way of teaching important social skills, such as communicating verbally, sharing, waiting, taking turns, and enjoying interaction with others. You don't need to spend a fortune, even simple games with a pack of cards or snakes and ladders can be really effective.
Why not give it a go this weekend.
